Gemma Warren
ABA Assistant Manager & Early Intervention Behavior Analyst
I grew up in a small village in the Cotswolds that has given me an appreciation of the simple things in life. One of my earliest memories is being late for school because of a herd of cows walking around the village.
After graduating with a degree in Psychology, I studied a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology in beautiful North Wales. I made sure to enjoy the beaches and landscapes that Wales has to offer before moving back to the Midlands to work in research positions and begin my ABA journey.
I first learned about ABA when I was working as a research assistant at the Cerebra Centre, where I was involved in a functional assessment project. I began working part time as an ABA tutor at the same time, which I thought would be an easy job… I was wrong, but I was hooked!
Seeing the progress made by children when learning is engaging and fun, and the fact that no two days are the same was incredible. Over my career, I have been lucky enough to work to support families and children in their homes, mainstream and ABA schools, nurseries and local communities. I have developed a passion for person-centred care and delivering support that is as individual as the children and families I work with. I undertook an ABA qualification at Queens University in 2017 and began consulting in 2015. I became a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst in 2018.
I made the move to the big city of London just in time for the 2012 Olympics. I have lived in different areas of London but settled in the South East, where I enjoy being able to access central London quickly and have beautiful Kent on my doorstep. When I am not at work, I split my time between keeping my dog entertained, researching new vegan recipes to try and catching up with family and friends. I can’t wait to help you on your TCP journey!
