Nicole Reynolds
Founder, Speech and Language Therapist
Moving from a small village in Eastern Canada to London was an exciting adventure, and I have been amazed at the energy and life of the city ever since. Fortunately, I have been able to follow my passion here in London when we had the opportunity to start The Children’s Place. I have been lucky to be surrounded with an outstanding team of therapists who share the same passion as I do: working alongside families and children, helping them in an essential part of all of our lives – communication.
One of my first experiences with children having difficulties in communication took place at an autism centre in a small town near where I am from. We worked intensively with children who had been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders. It was extremely rewarding to be a part of each child’s development as they grew and blossomed in their ability to communicate. The opportunity to work with both parents and children to help develop relationships in the children’s lives was an amazing journey to be a part of and eventually led me to become a speech and language therapist.
I have a wide range of experience working with children. As a speech and language therapist, I have experience working in a private pediatric clinic, schools, a child development centre, and a children’s hospital. I have my Masters in Speech Language Pathology from Dalhousie University in Canada and an undergraduate degree in Biology and Psychology. I am currently studying to become a BCBA certified Behaviour Analyst.
When I’m not working with children, I love being outdoors. Hiking in the mountains, biking, and doing any activity outside is so much fun! Running is one of my favourite activities, and my enjoyment of it motivated me to recently complete an ultramarathon.
I have been privileged to have worked with many amazing families in Canada and England, and I look forward to the new adventures that lie ahead!
