Robyn Lee

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Hi! My name is Robyn and I am so delighted to be working as a BCBA at The Children’s Place in beautiful London. Although not an original Londoner, I love that my journey has brought me to this diverse city to be able to connect with and support families on their very own journey!

I have been working with children for almost 10 years, where I worked with a company called SickKids, The Hospital for Sick Children, Child Life Department facilitating engaging social and educational activities akin to patient’s abilities and interests as well as communicating with patients, the medical team and family to determine social and educational goals.

When we get to chat on the phone or in the clinic, you will actually find me with a Canadian accent, as I’m originally from a small town in Ontario, Canada. I grew up with my parents and little sister. I now call her my best friend but she was also my childhood superhero. I loved her creativity and ability to find joy in everything we did. We loved to play dress up and outside in nature, and I love that I still get to do some of those things now as an adult for my job! After those early years, you would’ve found me in the mountains of western Canada or in New Zealand where I’ve also had the pleasure of spending a lot of time.

I was a very sporty kiddo, getting involved in as many activities and sports as I possibly could. I was fascinated by the human body and brain, which led me to an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology. I began working as a Professional Kinesiologist in various clinics, supporting people in their recovery journey and wellbeing. Alongside my education, I was also really passionate about supporting children and adults with disabilities, so I volunteered with various sport and recreation organisations that provided these opportunities for people with autism or other developmental disabilities.

This led me to the vast world of ABA where I began working as a tutor in schools, homes and the community, learning all about the science and how I could make a difference. I pursued a Masters in Special Education, specialising in Autism and Developmental Disabilities and worked to become a BCBA.

I have had the pleasure of working with kids as little as two, all the way to adults, and with that, programmed and worked towards a plethora of different and individualised goals for individuals and families. Something I really value in this work is building relationships with families so learning can happen in a fun, supportive and safe goals and progress can be shared in a safe environment. I love my work and getting to grow and learn alongside the people that I work with!

When I’m not at the Children’s Place, I love to explore new places. Wandering around a new suburb or town, and seeking out the best cafe, and best park to drink my tea from, is my ideal morning. Sometimes I even let myself get a little lost because that’s when you find the best treasures! I also have a big passion for food. I love to cook new recipes, host people for dinner and of course eat!!
