Xinru Wang
ABA Tutor
Hi, I’m Xinru (sounds like sing-ru). I’m from Yangzhou, eastern China, a beautiful tourist city. During my undergraduate studies in psychology, I was introduced to ABA, and after a year of working in the field, I found myself naturally drawn to its principles. What truly amazed me was the positive impact it had on children and their families!
Wanting to deepen my understanding, I came to the UK to study neurodevelopmental conditions and completed my Master’s in Developmental Psychology at King’s College London. After that, I worked in an ABA school in London for over a year before joining The Children’s Place. I love making learning fun by incorporating play into teaching, keeping little ones engaged and motivated. I have worked with little ones and their families from ages 3 to 16 and enjoy finding creative ways to support their progress. The past three years working in ABA has been an incredibly rewarding journey to me and I feel truly honored to be part of each child’s path toward independence and growth.
Outside of work, you’ll probably find me swimming, building LEGO, solving puzzles, or painting with acrylics—activities that keep me both creative and patient which definitely comes in handy at work!
