Zsuzsanna Moczas
Clinic Manager
Sziasztok! I’m Hungarian and was born in Transylvania. You might wonder whether Transylvania is a real place? The answer is yes! It is located in the heart of Romania that boasts amazing scenery, unique nature and wildlife, medieval castles, rural areas, and modern cities.
My mother tongue is Hungarian which is one of the hardest languages to learn, especially when you stumble across a 44 letter long word, like: “Megszentségteleníthetetlenségeskedéseitekért”. It might take a little while but it can be taught!
Growing up in the countryside of Transylvania has certainly taught me to appreciate nature, family, friends, and traditions, however, I was always eager to learn and explore new cultures. I also had a great interest to learn and perfect my English and decided to further my studies in Manchester. While there I had the opportunity to start working with children. A year later I returned to Transylvania and studied Communication, PR, and Advertising for 3 years in Cluj-Napoca.
As I always dreamt of living in a big city once I completed my degree I hit the road again and this time the destination was London. I have now lived in London for more than 6 years and I’m absolutely in love with it. During my first year here I was an au pair which helped me gain great experience working with children. Soon after I became a sales manager and worked for various types of retail businesses which allowed me to engage with people and show my passion for exceptional customer care. I then became a clinic manager for a laser eye clinic in Harley Street. The best part of my job was building relationships with patients and helping them through their treatments. The experience I have gained together with my passion for working with children has now enabled me to start working at The Children’s Place. It’s the perfect match.
When I get the chance I enjoy outdoor sports such as surfing and snowboarding, although I haven’t mastered them yet! One stand out experience while traveling was swimming with whale sharks in the Mexican Golf. My food-related passions include cooking, trying new restaurants, and eating far too much at food markets. My most popular dish to cook is Gulyás. I also love the 1920’s, especially the music. I can dance a bit of Charleston too.
