WE ARE NOT WAITING, WE ARE ADVENTURING FORWARD
We are not going to sit here waiting for COVID-19 to be over. Just because the world has dramatically changed, the amount of children and families that need our support has not. We are going to adventure forward into this new norm and new way of working to continue to grow our team, skills and ways of supporting families.
WHO WE ARE
The Children’s Place (TCP) is a private paediatric clinic that is changing the way professionals are collaborating and working together in London, United Kingdom to help support the development of children between birth to 18 years of age worldwide. We are an interdisciplinary team of occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and behavioral analysts who focus on a holistic approach as an integral part of our therapy support, whether it is in person or online.
DISTANCE SUPPORT
At TCP, we not only offer one-on-one online sessions but also home therapy programme packs, support via a personalised app every day of the week, social groups, and parent support through seminars, coaching sessions and meetups. We provide families with an avenue to access support from our whole multidisciplinary team in order to nurture the development of little ones holistically. All online.
Whether you have a child with a diagnosis or are struggling with your little one’s behavior or feeding, whether you would like to access professionals in children’s development to boost your little one’s skills or are in London, Glasgow, Singapore, Muscat, Jakarta, Toronto, or Miami—we can support your little one’s developmental journey.
And when we can finally interact face-to-face, our TCP family will continue to be a leader in supporting families in our clinics, local schools and residential homes in addition to becoming an innovator in teletherapy.
WE ARE READY
We are ready for our current worldwide situation due to COVID-19 because of what is at the heart of The Children’s Place (TCP).
Think Different
This philosophy is built into our DNA. I cannot think of any other situation that has challenged us more to think differently. This is what we do best, and now this situation is testing us even more to think differently about how we can evolve with our TCP families to continue supporting children and families who need us.
Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do. – Rob Siltanen
Tailor Made
When we meet each family, we think about the individual child and family to understand how to best support them on their journey. We continue to do this, considering each family’s situation how we can support them each and every day no matter what is happening in the world. This attribute, along with our Think Different mindset, allows us to think outside the box to come with so many different avenues and ways of supporting each and every child not only during this time but in the new ways of living when COVID-19 is just a memory.
Today you are you that is truer than true no one is alive that is you’re than you. – Dr. Seuss
Family Matters
Families are the core heartbeat of TCP. We recognise the importance of family in both the therapy process of the little ones’ therapy journey and in the true meaning of family: a unit of individuals supporting each other, loving each other, growing and adapting together and never giving up on each other. This is us as a TCP family.
Individually, we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean. – Ryunosuke Satoro
Details Matter
Little things add up to make the big things. It is our focus on the details that makes all the difference for our families during this time and in our quest to develop new distance support journeys. Because we are focused on the details, it helps us to find areas that are missing from what already exists to stand out.
To create something exceptional, your mindset must be relentlessly focused on the smallest details – Giorgio Armani
Believe in Smiles
We believe in the power of smiles, laughter and fun. We see the positives in any situation and, even when COVID-19 is taking away many things, it can only take away our smiles if we let it. And we will not let it take our smiles!
Remember, you’re the one who can fill the world with sunshine – Snow White
